This image is really powerful and sends the message of the way we felt on that fateful day.
I think it is a powerful message that the American Flag is torn.
The symbolism it has is that how the people who tried to save human beings. The artist chosen this event of American History to show you how Fire Fighters and police men saved people who need help. How this make me fell is pretty sad because i remember how the Twin tower colapsed. It sets the tone by a devistating event of people's life. I think the artist chose Super Man because he is a hero like the ones on 9/11.It sends a message to me that says,that terrorist tried to tear America but a hero picked it back up.Also I like how Super Man is hurt yet he is still trying.He looks hurt and dirty as if he had been saving people for a long time.It makes me think that America is still rising above.9/11 was a terrible day,many died,but heros were there and many were saved.Joseph

I think this photo represants our braveness , and sacrafise's from and for our country. I think it also represents what happened on the day of 9/11 and how many peoples lives where taken from this terrible thing. I think it also represents most of our symbols for America. This miage remind me of the twin tower how it got crash i was real sad.When i saw it i saw people jumping out the wendo makes me want to like safe them.I want to tank the police mens and Fire Fighters for trying to help the people in the twin i no is hard to safe 100 people or more and yes i do think this image is powerfull and sad but you know that we can alwas selbrat 9-11 and when we do we will alwas rember the people who try to safe and help the people. This image reminds me of all the people that have suffered the disasters of 9/11. This is a very powerful image in itself that the American Flag is torn in a heart shape, showing that we can always stay strong. I believe the artist chose to portray Superman, because he tried to as did many others save every being in the towers but did not succeed. Yet Superman did bring the Flag of America up from the battle, showing that our country is strong and can overcome disasters like 9/11. This image sets a kind of serious tone that reminds us of all those who gave their lives for us. I think this image is very powerful and I hope it touches people in the same way it did me.

I think this is a powerful message of 9/11.The reason why the artist used Superman is because he is a american hero.It shows that the terrorist teared the flag and Superman is hurt and dirty from the Twin Towers falling that's why he is dirty and he's hurt because damage from the Twin Towers might have hurt him.Superman is a very good hero because he shows honor of the U.S.A and he also has the Red,White,and Blue from the American Flag.The reason why he is also hurt is because he risked his life for us and his family.This remindes me about all the people who risked their life for their family's and us.And how all the people who were in the Twin Towers jumped out of the Twin Towers.9/11 was a bad day for the people in New York because all the people who died by the towers falling or just all the strees that everyone has.But this picture really reminds that we will always have a hero and our flag we always hang high.

I think it mean that all in the U.S.A are a super hero.Like superman an save the people in the city. On 9/11 the city stop to look and stop as the buidings fill. 10 years later that day is remimder that day as 9/11 Septemter 11, 2001. The flag is a sign that we still stand tall. I think the person who chose to portray this event this way because I think the message is that people can try to destroy our country but will always be able stay a strong country.And this event was very,very sad.Lots of people died on this day.People who were soldiers,policemen,firemen and everyday people all died...for us.This event of the attack on September 11,2001 on the Twin Towers hurt our country extremley badly but we remained strong,stronger than ever.September 11, 2001 was a day of sacrefice.I am extremley grateful to be an American.Marla.

What I think what this picture means even superman can't stop the plain to hit the twin towers. I feel sorry for those who suffered the 9/11.Also,he superman only save people and crime. Now memories will come who survied and tear will come. We all are hero's. jennie
I think its a powerful message about 9/11 and I really think that it reminds us that that if super man was really there he would help us out a lot. And that super man is reminds us about the heros that help us a lot too. I also think that the beat up flag is when New York whent into disaster and how the twin towers went down and killed all the people in the twin tower or the people that where on the sreets with the ashes when it whent into there lugs and stoped there breathing.
